Year 5-6: The Mystery behind Stories that Touch People’s Hearts

Course Summary:

The 2-day workshop will guide children to analyse some stories that most people find touching and heartwarming and think about why people react to stories.

What students will do:

• Analyse the inner workings of our minds as we read stories
• Learn how to deliver own ideas in a logical and sophisticated manner
• Brainstorm ideas to make learning content engaging and interesting

Driving questions:

• Why do people love reading stories?
• How do we help people get in touch with the imaginative world?

On the second day of the workshop, there will be an open classroom where parents and family members of participants will roleplay as students as participants work together to conduct and host an immersive lesson analysing short stories.
